Paddy Power's Trustpilot score of 3.7 is a significant outlier in a sector that typically scores between 1.2 and 1.3.

How we score

How we score

Two separate scores. The main ranking uses Roulette Score. Trust Score is shown as a secondary signal.

Roulette Score / 100

  • Platform Availability (15 pts) — iOS native app, Android availability, dedicated PWA.
  • iOS App Quality (35 pts) — Star rating weighted by review count and update recency. All data from Apple iTunes Search API — not estimated.
  • Live Roulette Providers (50 pts) — Evolution Gaming (22 pts), Playtech (18 pts), Pragmatic Play (10 pts). Only confirmed live roulette availability is scored.

Trust Score / 100

  • UKGC Licence (50 pts) — Verified against the UKGC public register.
  • Trustpilot (30 pts) — Sector-adjusted. UK gambling operators average 1.2–1.3; scores above 2.5 are meaningful outliers.
  • Responsible Gambling (20 pts) — Deposit limits, self-exclusion, reality checks, affordability checks, GambleAware/GamStop/GamCare links.

Frequently asked questions

How do you score UK roulette apps?
We use two independent scores. The Roulette Score (100 points) measures the quality of the roulette app itself across three dimensions: platform availability (15 pts), iOS App Store quality including ratings and update recency (35 pts), and live roulette provider depth (50 pts). The Trust Score (100 points) measures the operator as a regulated UK business: UKGC licence status (50 pts), Trustpilot consumer rating (30 pts), and responsible gambling tools (20 pts). Both scores are calculated from verified primary data using a published methodology you can reproduce.
Why do you use Apple App Store data rather than Google Play?
Apple's iTunes Search API is the only public, unauthenticated source of UK gambling app ratings available without a commercial relationship with the operator. It provides review counts, star ratings, update dates, and version history for all 10 operators in our dataset. Google Play has no equivalent public API — Android availability is confirmed manually for each operator, but Android quality cannot be scored reliably.
What is a live roulette provider and why does it affect the score so much?
Live roulette providers — Evolution, Playtech, and Pragmatic Play — operate the studios where real dealers host roulette games streamed directly to players. The table variety, betting limits, and streaming quality are determined by the studio provider, not the operator brand. An operator with all three providers gives players far more choice than one with a single studio. Provider depth carries 50 of 100 available Roulette Score points because it is the most roulette-specific factor in our model — an operator can have an excellent app but a limited roulette experience if it only has one provider.
What does a "provisional" score mean?
A provisional score contains at least one dimension that has been inferred rather than directly verified. On the Roulette Score, provisional usually means a PWA (Progressive Web App) status that has been inferred from score analysis but not confirmed by direct inspection — this affects up to 2 points. On the Trust Score, scores marked provisional contain trust dimensions scored from available public information rather than direct account verification. Provisional scores are labelled clearly on every operator profile.
How often is the data updated?
The current dataset was verified in June 2026 and is dated accordingly on every page and profile. iOS ratings and update dates come from the Apple iTunes Search API, queried at each update cycle. Trustpilot scores and live provider data are collected manually and verified before use. Operators change app versions, provider contracts, and Trustpilot positions — we re-verify the dataset periodically and update scores and the reference date when changes are confirmed.

About UK Roulette Apps

Best roulette apps for UK players

The best UK roulette apps combine strong iOS App Store ratings with access to multiple live roulette providers. Our dataset consistently shows that provider depth — access to Evolution, Playtech, and Pragmatic Play — is the single largest differentiator between top-ranked and mid-ranked apps. Betway and Sky Vegas both achieve the highest Roulette Score by securing all three providers alongside a recently updated, highly rated iOS app.

Mobile roulette apps: iOS ratings explained

Mobile roulette app quality is measured using Apple's iTunes Search API — the only public, unauthenticated source of UK gambling app ratings. We track star rating, review count, and days since last update for all 10 operators. Update recency matters: an app updated within 30 days scores maximum recency points; an app unchanged for over 90 days receives a penalty. 888casino's 107-day update gap is the most notable example in our current dataset.

Roulette app comparison methodology

Our roulette app comparison uses two independent scores. The Roulette Score (100 pts) measures platform availability, iOS quality, and live provider depth. The Trust Score (100 pts) measures UKGC licence status, Trustpilot consumer rating, and responsible gambling tools. Separating these scores lets you compare what makes a roulette app technically good (Roulette Score) independently of broader operator reputation (Trust Score).

UK roulette apps and live casino providers

UK roulette apps source their live dealer tables from specialist studio operators. Evolution Gaming, Playtech, and Pragmatic Play are the three major providers in our scoring model. Evolution commands the largest studio network in Europe and is present in 9 of 10 apps we track. Playtech is common across Entain brands. Pragmatic Play is a growing presence, confirmed in six of our ten tracked operators. The difference between one provider and three is 28 Roulette Score points — the widest single-dimension range in our model.
